Adding mobo + GPU to loop: Large temp increase?

Expanding my loop, here is what I am thinking.

I am happy with current temps, but I am redoing loop mostly for looks while also getting the GPU under water. Right now I am using an XSPC Rasa on CPU only.

What I plan to add:

EK Supreme HF
EK NB/SB
EK Mosfets
EK GTX 580 block

(mobo is P6X58D-E)

I know I may see a slight increase in overall temps by adding the GPU, but it seems like the increase will be quite small. I am just curious about adding the mobo cooling? Want to do this mostly for looks, but I'm wondering if it will create a noticeable increase in temps?

Might consider adding another rad to ensure lower temps if this may be a problem, but would love some feedback. Especially from someone in a similar set-up.

I'm assuming you have a 360 radiator? You're going to notice about a 3-5C temperature increase depending on your fans. Really I wouldn't waste money upgrading from the XSPC Rasa to the EK Supreme HF unless you want it for bling.

mother board wont make alot of difference
it gpu can depending on how much you push it

you will want to have at least a 360 rad

Yeh, 360 rad is what I have now, running 3xGT. Will probably get 3 more for push/pull, but I can always add a 240 if I need to. And yeh, the EK is just for looks mostly and I am selling the Rasa to a friend so I'm happy with the upgrade

Just trying to plan this out before buying, so I know whether I should add a bit more cooling to compensate for added components.

Waste of cash to cool the mb. All it does is add restriction to your loop

That part is obvious, but I've already stated that I am doing it for looks. I've also stated that I am willing to add to the loop to help deal with added heat/restriction. Would the added heat/restriction be noticeable in my loop? If so, should I add a second pump or rad to compensate?

Have you touched your Mosfet block latley? Its not a total waste of cash esp. if you payed more than 200 bucks for your mobo. I can't argue about the restrictiveness though, but thats why people buy a pump like the 355, so it will be a non issue.

But then again, water-cooling anything isn't necessary, and can be a waste of cash too.

Yeh, mostly just wondering if the 655 + 360 rad will still be enough to keep the CPU/GPU cool in this loop. I am willing to add another pump or rad, but I'm just not sure if they are needed or not.

I think that 655 should be OK, they aren't the best pumps for highly restrictive loops, what you would want to do instead of using a two pumps is get a 355, because it has more head pressure and can push more water through a restrictive loop, and a second pump will only add heat to the water.

If you have the space then yes get another rad.

Also keep your Rasa block, a better block will only do two things; add more heat to the water, and possibly add even more restriction to the loop.
