Which card is the one for me?

I dont know what the heck to do, I have been looking into GPUs for a few days now though trying to weigh my options. I want to be able to play FFCIV (Finaol Fantasy 14) as well if WoW if i decide to go back on max settings. My CPU choice is giong to be an i5 2500k which i plan on OCing.

I was looking at the evga 400 series. i was also looking at the GTX 460 that has the 3 cooling fans, i forgot who the maker was though, i saw it on newegg.

I dont have any preference as to SLi or crossfire or physx or eyefinity since i dont really know a lot about this PC stuff and dont know what those things do exactly or if and how theyll benefit my future plans at all, i would like to be able to run 2 PCs though, it would be cool. i know CFx is for using more than one computer i believe?

I'm open to any recommendations even if its above my budget price of 200-350 looking to spend no more than 300 though but if absolutely necessary ill save up to 400 for the GPU for the build. It has to be compatible with 1155 LGA (am i sayinb it right?)

Sounds like you need a 2GB HD 6950, its under 300 and it also can unlock to a HD 6970 which trades blows with a GTX 570 and performs better in Crossfire. If you're looking for an unbiased opinion and a great card for under 300 bucks I think you need to look at the HD 6950. The 6950 1/2GB already outperforms the GTX 560. I believe the GTX 570 is around 350 but if you can unlock a HD 6950 and get GTX 570 and HD 6970 performance I SAY go with the 6950 once again.

In regards to FFXIV any of these cards will max out ANY of your games if you're playing at 1080P. Crossfire/SLI is basically having the same exact cards in your system and getting more performance.
PhysX is a visual enhancing aspect that is only for Nvidia cards which is only on select games which to some users make the game better or worse.
Eyefinity/Nvidia Surround is virtually using Multiple monitors and making it into one screen.(Picture having three Monitors and displaying everything across three screens)

If i go with the 6950, what maker of the card would you recommend? would it run hot as a 6970? or with the stock cooling would it be fine?

how does this look? for the GPu
2 gb
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814261099

or this
1 gb
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814261101

the core and shader clock on the 1 gb is higher mhz .

which one would be best for HIGH end gaming on HIGH settings

I would suggest the XFX or Sapphire, XFX has the best warranty and resale value if you ever sell it, warranty is transferable so the other person doesn't have to worry about getting in contact with you.
