hey guys, i need buy a new vga, what i should buy Radeon 6950 or 6790, or go with gtx 570, or 480?

The 6570 can be unlocked to a 6970 (requires a bios mod)

others? i have a max resolution of 1680 x 1050

The big performance benefit of the 6950 and 6970 are their framerates above 1920x1080 resolutions. Those cards kick ass at high res. From here, it depends on your budget. The 6950 can potentially be unlocked to a 6970 and OC'ed to get some amazing performance per dollar. However, at that resolution, a majority of the benchmarks I see show a lead for the GTX 570 over both the 6950 and the 6970.

I went with the GTX 570 since I had the budget to do so, but you certainly won't be missing out with a 6950. Its a solid bang for the buck option at the high end.
