Aqua Cuplex Kryos HF?

Thread Starter
Anyone using one? Thinking about picking one up and getting it nickel plated to replace the EK. The Cuplex Kryos HF just seems like a better built and performing product for unrestrictive loops. Might get the aquagraFX for the GTX 580 and do the same (plate and replace). For fun and for profit, of course . Well, maybe not profit...

its german made, which ussually means get quality
none of there past blocks have been high end performers

from looking up the making and cut of it, it reminds me of a heat killer block which I have the high end heat killer and it does a great job but is it better than the 50.00 rasa.
I would have to see that and then I would have to see it beat out the ek HF

the difference in the rasa and the ek hf is only 2-3c and for the 40.00 difference its hard to justify that kind of cost when a better TIM would almost give you the same.

I saw some review mentioned a thicker o-ring is used.
The so-called o-ring came with the package or need to buy elsewhere?

It's negligibly better than the EK Supreme HF. Around .1C I believe according to the test on Skinee's site. It is more restrictive than the HF supreme tho by a significant amount. you honestly can't even tell the difference with on board sensors like realtemp and such. I would stick with the supreme since the kryos's performance is not that much better (worse when flowrate is taken into account) and god awful ugly by comparison (subjective tho)

DO Not get an aquacomputer block for your graphics card, they are WAY to restrictive. For example, the EK 480 block is 0.87 PSI of pressure drop @ 1.0 GPM, and the aquacomputer block is 3.02 PSI.

It's over three times as restrictive for about 5-6C better VRM temperature. Really I think the EK Block is already the best available block.
