Right now I've tried the Msi GD65 and did not like one bit. Now I'm on a UD4 and hate the board. There's no power on/off button's on it, no UEFI, and the caps next to the cpu socket are under the side of my water block(retard's). Everytime I try to bring my ram to 1866mhz or higher, the board will not reboot until I pull the battery out(no clear CMOS). The dual bios doesn't work on my board. I am at 5ghz and 5.2ghz but not happy with the board's performance. First time to a Gigabyte board and probably my last. Not hating on the Gigabyte fans, I think I got a crappy board.
So back to the main ? How do you Asus guy's like the new bios layout and how it all works?? Would you have gone a different route if you could? I see a lot of you needing 1.4v instead of 1.5v for 5ghz.
First of all your assumptions of UD4 are way off ,you complaining about on/off button ,no clear CMOS ,dude it's 200$ board ,you should compare that to P8P67 PRO (same price ,same futures) as for "caps next to the cpu socket"..your CPU block suck, here is a block
and as for the ram issue ..it's all about bios ,it always is
both boards are great and the only reason i chose to go with asus was the bios,it's a shame when you spend 200 bucks for the board and you still have to buy speaker for it
