[Sandy Bridge] How many vcore bumps did it take to go from 4.8 to 5 Ghz?

Working on 5 Ghz 24/7 is why I ask, takes 1.44v and was 5 hours blend stable, 1 hour small FFT pending (18 minutes left). At 4.8 it takes 1.35v so I might be able to lower the voltage at 5 Ghz.

With window cracked temps top out at 71c which should be fine for everyday use, considering it's about 20c lower after 4 hours of gaming (without open window).

I got 4.9 at 1.4 and 5.0 at 1.49. It was a crazy jump.

i ran stable at 4.8ghz with 1.425 vcore

5.0ghz it HAD to be 1.500 vcore or else it would crash....both using 100 BCLK and 48 and 50 multipliers respectively

Not sure about 4.8 to 5.0, but it takes my chip 1.332v for 4.6ghz, and about 1.475v for 5ghz.

about the same for me.


Also make sure you run blended after small fft. Seen 10+ stable hours of small fft fail after 5 minutes of blended. Needed more vcore

I have a stable 4.8ghz with 1.415v. I need 1.5v for a stable 1 hour blend/small FFT at 5ghz. I haven't tried tweaking it though (like trying it at 1.49 or 1.495).
