Overclocking using AMD Overdrive

HI

I used AMD Overdrive to increase my CPU speed but it seems that 2.8Ghz is the higest it will go ( i intend it to go to 3.0Ghz ) but the Bar slider will not go any further. Is it for safety or is that the fastest it will go?

is this a black edition?
omg, its a laptop.. why you oc'ing a laptop? the heat will kill components as well..
and no, the multiplier will be locked anything other than Black Edition processors. You will have to OC by fsb, in this case, thats not recommended at all either.

thats plenty for a dual core laptop man, you really need to research more about overclocking. It does have its good side but it has a bad side as well.

laptops are not intended for overclocking purposes.

well, ok i will write in plain simple sentence.

for safety purposes the bar you are trying to move(also known as multiplier) is locked.

it will also be locked in other cpus which are not high end black edition ones.

enough?
