So today, I saw a thread that LITERALLY has the words "Sandy Bridge = FAIL" in the title. This is ridiculous.

WE NEED MORE MEMBERS!

Wow- quite a fiasco with the H/P67 recalls! Intel will sort it all out- it will be fine in under a month.

Can I sign up? I know I run an AMD chip, but the trash talking is really getting annoying, and why does most of it come from the rest of the Intel community here?

Honestly, Sandy Bridge is a great chip, the chipset fault is not going to affect any actual users before the recalls are sorted out, and Intel has done the right thing and made the news public. Where is the failure in that?

1155 is not the replacement for 1366!! So why are the 1366 users so quick to jump on this? The mind boggles, bibbles, and goes to hide in a corner under a blanket.

Welcome to the club! Forgive me if I don't change the name.

Regarding the recalls:

NOTHING HAS CHANGED.

The debate is still pointless as ever. Although one could argue that the i7 950 has regained temporary dominance at the 300 dollar mark, this does not change the undeniable fact that 1155 is FASTER, and that's TOTALLY AWESOME! Personally, I can't wait to see someone do some serious work with LN2 on one. They might even be able to depose the celerons and pentiums!

Fun fact: Hunter S. Thompson still used a typewriter in 2003.

Old technology is not necessarily bad technology.
