Asrock socket requires some pressure

Just a question:

Is it me or did the i7 2600k require quite some force when closing the socket? I checked multiple times and it was 100% correctly seated.

My Asus P8P67 Evo also required some "pressure" / "force" to get the spring tension arm to latch. I imagine it is just the socket itself.

I see. But I think the two sides of the socket made a small 'pit' in the cpu's sides.

Nothing you can do about that.

Sometimes when manufacturing the tolarences are used, hence it could be 0.09 mm too big or small. Its ok.

Ah, thanks for the information

I guess if I did something bad, my pc wouldn't be running fine for two weeks now anyway
