looking to overclock my intel coure 2 duo 6300

Thread Starter
Hello all. Am looking for some help to overclock my intel core 2 duo 6300. currently at 1.86ghz. I want to see if it will help my frames a bit in WoW so Im not looking to go crazy high on it. i have an intel dg965ss mobo. adata2 by 2GB ddr2 800 ram. ive seen some videos how to do it. i was thinking about only going to like 2.1ghz...and i know who to get that thru the multiplier. the only question i have is with the memory and changing the voltage, something to like 1.2350V or something along those lines. Any help will be appreciated, thanks for your time.
Cheers!

I don't think you need to change your memory voltages. Leave the memory alone and just bump up the FSB some. The multiplier i believe is 8 or 9. You can easily overclock that processor to 2.7ghz without a sweat or any change in voltages.

Unless you have a brand name computer all motherboards should offer at least some kind of way to change clock speeds. I wouldn't use any type of program to overclock because it should be done in the bios.
