I also have a question about the psu. My dad says i shouldn't really get a new psu unless its through dell to keep my overall computer warranty, but shouldn't i be fine as long as i get a quality one like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16817371035 ?

Can you give me a link to the Galaxy card on something like Newegg? I just want to see if it is reference or not.

I was under the impression replacing the video card would void the warranty to begin with.

At any rate, as long as you keep the old parts handy, Dell won't really have any way of knowing that you swapped hardware in/out, and yes Antec is a reliable PSU brand.

Go with the Antec or any other well branded PSU of course since your current one will not handle the new requirements. Although, since the PSU is a component that you do not change that often, I would recommend at least a 700 W quality brand PSU so that it is more future-proof unless it is very easy for you to sell used parts (PSUs to be more specific). For example in couple of months you may decide to go SLI and the PSU will be a problem.

true, my friend's dad owns a computer shop and he said he'd give me a 650 watt psu from an alienware computer that someone left there. After a certain amount of time they technically own it and he said its really nice around $150 (i think he said that) and he'd give it to me anywhere from $40-50. He said he used it for a month or two before buying a 1000watt. ALSO is it worth it to get the 1 year extended warranty on the video card?

The PSU deal that you got is a steal.

Regarding the warranty it surely depends on how long you are planning to use the card. I buy cards with extended warranty so that I can sell them easier at a later point but I never use those longer than one year (lately I change those very often since I got drawn into the benchmarks world ). So it depends.
