Setting up my HDTV in XP

Hi Everyone,

Recently i have just set up my 32 Inch LCD HDTV to my computer. i have used a DVI to HDMI cable. The problem i am having is that the screen is flickering and some of the text is too small to read. i have set up 120dpi in settings and corrected what i can such as zoom on Firefox. In Nvidia console i have set 1080i and resolution to 1808x1036 this seems to fit the monitor quite well unless anyone has any other suggestions for this? any better resolutions or any ideas on improvement i would be really greatful.

Thanks

There is your problem right there. A non-TV native resolution.

for some strange reason if i set any other resolutions it wont work. I have only a HD ready TV so i am assuming its that. i have put it on 720p and that seems to have resolved the issues as apposed to 1080i. Maybe thats a problem too.

I know that, that's because the TV only supports a few resolutions. 720p and 1080p for example. But the 1080 has to be 1920x1080

maybe because its I - interlaced (if i remember rightly) instead of a progressive scan. its working ok. Would like a bit more better quality. very pixelated but worth assuming its Win XP?
