AMD Built doesnt seem to be working...

Thread Starter
I didnt know where else to post this so I posted it here :\\.

I have just built another system (specs in sig) and it doesnt seem to be working. Everything is working inside the case, the fans, graphics card, psu, cpu fan... but iv plugged it into the monitor and nothing is coming up.

Also, the fans seem to be spinning fairly slowly, dont know if that has anything to do with it?

Any suggestions? thanks

Is the monitor on? Does it look for a signal from your GPU? Make sure your DVI or VGA or HDMI cable is securely in your computer.

Yes tried that, the monitor is fine and the connection between GPU and monitor is good.

The other weird thing is, when i hold the power button down for ages, the computer does not turn off, and the reset doesnt work either... so i have no idea.

400W PSU is kind of low for such a build. Maybe you should look into that.

Are you sure that the case is hooked up correctly to the main board? Have you gotten to the bios ever with this system?

Actually that GPU has a requirement of no less than 450 Recommended 600 or higher. That and your processor and the 1600MHz RAM you put in, 400Watts just is not covering it! That is my prediction. my build just happened on friday. my specs are below. I had a 500W PSU sitting here but bought a 650 instead.
