they are the same just different color lol. also for your budget you are not going to find a camera with a lot of optical zoom. the best you might get is a little optical zoom with a lot of digital zoom which would make your images look pixilated. as far as battery life goes, all goes back to budget the more you spend the more you can get honestly.
