Opinion on 24/7 OC for 2500k with watercooling?

Thread Starter
Just wondering what is safe 24/7 usage for a 2500k with watercooling

I have a 2500k and a msi p67 gd55 and i set vdroop on high.

I used a multimeter and measured actual cpu voltage and with all 4 cores at 5ghz, it seems to draw 1.4V

Is that safe? especially when it downclocks, will it overshoot like mad?

Bios set voltage is only at 1.33 or something.

With my water cooling set up, the temps reach ~64C in prime 95 small fft

is that safe for 24/7 usage?

Thanks

Totally safe by most standards. The max you want to run the chip is about 75 under load. I run at 5.3ghz solid at 1.50v with no multiplier switching. These chips are beasts if you keep em cool.

Intel says 1.52v max. And I kinda agree with em, but...

I personally am setting my max at 1.4v...so...

You're fine.

(The max temp for cpu before it shuts down is 100C, so you're really fine in the temp department.)

dont worry your safe like kennyparker1337 said, 1.52 is the max.
