Farcry 2 - Screen Size Issue (Steam)?

I bought both Farcry and Farcry 2 on steam but i only have Farcry 2 installed on my system, when i first ran the game i changed its video settings, with everything at max, my issue is with the screen size of the game i have its settings at 1600x900, but whenever i run the game it always runs windowed, even if i change it to something else the game runs windowed.

any possible reasons/solutions for why this is happening?

would appreciate some help.

seemed to work, never thought of doing that.

seems the reason that it went to windowed mode was because of alt+tab.

thanks for the help issue was solved quickly.....

I had this problem a while back as well. The easiest fix is just to press alt + enter. The more permanent solution is this to navigate to open up the Far Cry 2 folder in your documents folder and edit a file called GamerProfile.xml. If you change Maximized="0" to Maximized="1" it should automatically run in full screen every time you launch the game.
