Temps on H70

Thread Starter
I just installed my lovely H70, though it seems a bit odd....
I'm running Q8200 2.33 OCed to 3.2MHz,

I'm running Prime95 and I'm getting 64C under load,
and i'm getting like 53,49,49,46 on Idle...

Weird... I read elsewhere that people are getting around 40C,
could it be I'm running dual monitor?

The temps are the same to Coolermaster N520... WA?!?!?!

Agreed, thats too high. Even on my old H50 I top out at 52c while folding.

The usual questions..

- which TIM
- how much TIM
- which fans

i used the TIM that's already pre-spread on the cooler,
didn't touch a thing,

but even so, it shouldn't have this high temps though...

I tighten everything,
The weird part is, in MB Bios, i used hardware monitor and i get 27~28C CPU temp,
but in Real Temp in Windows, it's showing me 52C idle,
what's going on?! Booting into windows add another 24C?

You're only supposed to hand tighten them, then add another half turn.

sounds like the software is giving you a misreading, try speedfan

My temps are much lower than yours. My room temp is about 75*F. How did you hook up the H70? The fans for it goes in the CPU fan slot on the Mobo and the pump goes to any other slot. Go into bios and disable auto fan control.

EDIT: My load temps are around 60c
