My mistake. Good catch! Youre right. I had the page open for hours and had a whole 3-4 paragraphs about Raspbian, -Buntu's and other Debian forks. Lost track of where I cut, pasted, and copied. I kept getting pulled away. Plus I think Wheezy keeps throwing me off too. Pretty sure I have that mislabeled somewhere.

Matter of fact, I just noticed another mistake due to my cutting. Lets see if anyone else picks up on it (its minor).

Im not too well versed in Arch (very minimal time on it). Just curious, do you think Arch would be easier for Non-Linux (and other Unix) people to integrate from?

You know what I do like about Arch is that Unity runs well out of the box and a lot of 3d apps that we could use work well. But again, my concern is that Linux users will be fine with it but Windows users will be lost and probably wont take time to try and figure it out.

Just a quick Porteus spawn for AMD 64 in KDE (not my favorite). zRam set above default to 35%. This is a kick up from the stock settings. That way for anyone who wants to try it out on an older machine, low RAM, laptop, wahtever, it should boot and run fine.

Take a peek and play around: I think in the LQXT environment it would be easier to work with. I'll install necessary tools like mprime, RAMSpeed, Memtest86+, as well as others and then copy the distro, do 32bit, and make one with nVidia drivers packaged.

HWiNFO is built in and I think I can modify it to contain all the proper sensors that we are used to in windows. But the tasks and activities make a good layout for testing/OC'ing. Its just about building on it from there.

EDIT: Here is for 64 bit machine with nVidia drivers (current cards only, GeForce 6/7 wont work with this one)

Again, this is only for a sense of the environment to see if its a good working environment. There are a lot of features that arent immediately noticeable so I need people to poke around a little

Starting tomorrow I am going to start a proper build/customization using a few different architectures. Id like to to have an Arch variant but I'll need help with that because I know Arch about as well as I know Jessica Biel. But I think having an Arch variant will be important, as @Shrak has suggested. It does well with 3d apps and games right out of the box and from what I have seen so far that may pave the way for things we need and use.

I probably wont get to work on a customized distro until tomorrow because I have to play some Ark and Squad

Looks like I will be making the move to Arch linux soon with all the rolling updates keeping things nice and fresh.

Wish me luck.

Is there a list of linux specific overclocking/testing software anywhere?

Arch Wiki - Stress Test
Arch Wiki - Benchmarking

If you're going for Arch, always consult the wiki as it has nearly all of the information you'll need.

Sounds great thanks just need to get the proper ISO and start installing. I will book mark that wiki now so I don't lose it.
