HP TX2 with AMD ZM 85 - CPU Underclocking/undervolting

So I want to underclock aka undervolt my CPU which obviously is running too hot for using Chrome...Average batterry drain is about 1.5 hrs... so.. I know by underclocking I can get at least 2.5 hrs... but yet.. this concept does not work for this baby with my current configuration:

OS - Windows 7 x64 Ultimate
Rest is stock HP Tx2 with 6gig's of memory and the ZM 85 CPU running at its dynamic 1150mhz topping out at 2300mhz on each core.

I haven't really seen good enough support on these puppies by many software vendors I have tried, including:

AMD Overdrive
Notebook Hardware Control - Does not support x64
ATI Tool - only for graphics card

Reaching out for suggestions.... grouphug.gif

thx

I am using for my RM-70 the following:
*K10stats for undervolting
*advanced power settings (in Win7) to set max clock speed for each mode.

Here's an example: Battery power:Min 5%, Max 50%; Plugged: Min 50%, Max 100%. The minimum @5% doesn't mean the processor will actually be at 5% of stock speed, but you have to dial 5% to keep it at the lowest speed the CPU is capable of descending. In K10 stats I found the CPU stable w/ 0.85V @800MHz, 0.95 @1.4 GHz and 1.075 @2.1 GHz

k10stats finally worked for me on my x64 win7... was getting some critical errors before.. got a new copy to run of the exe.. it works now...

i have a low win7 profile like you said.. but then i have a custom k10stats profile wayyyyyyyyyyyy underclocked... if I use this tablet on the road for web surfing... dont need it clocked sooo high... currently running at 350mhz @ .7500v stable
