hey everyone here is my specs
AMD Phenom II 1055T Six Core Processor oc to 3.26ghz was done in bios.
-ASUS crosshair IV mobo
-evga gtx 580 oc edition video card
-12gb ddr3 memory
-windows 7 home premium 64 bit
-cool master 922 case
-corsair 750w power supply with 80 plus
-22 inch benq led monitor
i am already aware that the 580 is clocked to the following:
core clock 797mhz
shader clock 1594mhz
memory clock 4050mhz
stream processers 512

i was going to ask can i still oc my gpu...a bit more to increase the fps in games...note i just overclocked my 1055t from 2.8ghz to 3.26 but hopefully within a couple of days ill get it between 3.5-4.0 ghz
thanks

Of course you can still overclock your gpu. But you will have less headroom since it is already overclocked. On the other hand, you have a binned gpu which means it will clock higher than most gpus. You can always raise the voltage a little bit (It is known that raising the voltage a few mv will allow you to clock higher). Keep the temps down, look for artifacts and you should be all set to have some fun. Good luck

You can definitely overclock the GTX 580 SC, just be careful. I've successfully OC'd it to higher clocks and can play Crysis Enthusiast mode AA x4 stable. I've ran 3D Mark 11 benchmarks stable and getting 14% gains on my GTX 580 SC card.

I overclocked till I got to and unstable point 15Mhz at a time and then backed down to lower setting that did work.

what do you have the following set to...
core clock 797mhz
shader clock 1594mhz
memory clock 4050mhz

those i just posted are the overclocked edition settings but i would like to go higher...
i am using msi afterburner
it will not let me touch the core voltage

also be advised i am running a amd 1055 at 3.26ghz but i am going to oc to 3.5-4.0ghz soon..along with a asus crosshair IV mobo

thanks
