New mouse: the search is on! - Page 7

Take a trip to Best Buy and pickup a Intellimouse 3.0 Legends Edition.

I currently have an MX518, my IME died after 3 1/2 years, and the pickup distance on the MX518 is horrid, I use extremely low sens and I am always having my mouse spaz out at high turns.

That and the IME can be OC on polling rate farther than an mx518.

How's that Mamba working for you? I personally use the Lachesis, but it's a love it or hate it for most people.

Jeez that woodyfly person is either a douche or a troll. If you're gonna bash someone at least explain yourself instead of just coming up with insults. For me at least, I'd rather have a set sensitivity for Windows/games while changing DPI vs a set DPI and having to change my settings for EACH game/application I use. But I guess I'm not a "pro gamer" cause you know, those people have to tweak each setting to it's "highest potential", right woody?

The 3.0 only has 400 dpi. The op needs atleast 9000 dpi.

Mamba is really nice. I love the softer rubbber-like feel on the Razer mice in general. And I really like the indentations for your fingers on the left and right mouse buttons.

Although, I still like the taller, wider feel of the G500.

As long as it's over 9000...

I still use MX518. A while ago I wanted to buy Roccat Kova but none of the shops here had it and said they probably won't. Now I see why, they have a new model out, Kova+.

http://www.roccat.org/Products/Gamin.../ROCCAT-Kova-/

Dunno, might be interesting if you haven't considered this one yet.

Ok. I still think the Logitech G500 is my favorite. Though I'm contemplating going back and getting another Razer Imperator (already returned the first one I had) to compare with the Mamba I have.

Any Razer Mamba or Imperator owners care to weigh in more? From the dimension side of things, the Imperator is a tad shorter (170mm vs the Mambas 178) and slightly shorter (40mm vs Mambas 42.5mm). I've found over the last week in searching for a mouse that I have a combination of a palm and claw grip for what it's worth.

do you SERIOUSLY know what DPI is? Just raise your ingame sensitivity if you want quick movements, you DO NOT NEED OVAR 9000 DPI. Have fun with your overpriced razer trash w/ crappy sensor

Anyone with with a useful comment care to weigh in...

(Get it right -- it's over 10,000+ DPI that I need. /sarcasm)

Get a G9x. Best mouse I've ever used. It costs about $65 on the Egg.
