Hey guys,

I'm looking to get a new graphics card for my PC and my mother board is:

Board: Packard Bell WMCP78M
Bus Clock: 200 megahertz
BIOS: Phoenix Technologies, LTD P01-A2 06/26/2009

Other system Info:

2.20 gigahertz AMD Phenom 8550 Triple-Core
4096 Megabytes Usable Installed Memory
NVIDIA GeForce G210 [Display adapter]

My budget is aroung £150, Thanks.

Does it have a PCI-Express x16 slot? If so you can use any PCI-E card you want as long as the power supply is adequate.

Hi, what wattage PSU do you have?

I can't find your motherboard too well, either. Can you please download www.cpuid.com and tell us the board name as given in that program?

Oh right, I'm guessing to check that I have to open the machine? Real novice here, sorry.

Thanks.

Your motherboard should have a PCI-E X16 slot, how what is your PSU model number? or how many watts does it give out?

No it can be done with software.

Download CPU-Z (www.cpuid.com) and let us know what it says under graphics and motherboard

You will need to open your machine to read the PSU wattage.

Should I check the power cable? Sorry.

Thanks.

the NVIDIA GeForce G210 is a PCI-E x16 card, so if that is what is in your computer, you should be able to use any of the new graphics cards.

that is if you have a Power supply that is great enough, and it fits in your case

If you open the case, the PSU (Power supply) will have a side with some information on it.

look for the maximum output, or along those lines, in watts

The board does have a PCIE slot, best you can do for that system is a 5750 or nvidia comparable as the PSU is only 250watt, found info in this thread here http://www.techspot.com/vb/topic147590.html
