this is why I'd only fold with a sandy bridge these days and maybe the latest video cards. Points per day per watt of electricity is what it's about. You'll save enough electricity in a year over running old equipment to pay for the equipment either that or get 3 times the points for the same electricity usage.

Old rigs and PS3s to fold are a waste of energy, IMO.

Video cards aren't as bad as I thought as long as the latest cards are used and not old stuff like 8800s.

Well my two GTX 460s pulled around 250 Watt under load, overclocked. So that would be 125 Watt per GTX 460. Add that to the normal idle (CPU) usage of your system, that would be at minimum 200 Watt to fold on a GTX 460.
