Even though my SSD, HDD and DVD are not 6gb/s would they still work properly If I just switch them over to the 6gb/s connections?

Have a Gigabyte P67A-UD5 sitting here. Was gonna pick up a 2500K from Microcenter this weekend and finally get this baby started.
I sold all my old components to earn the funds for this upgrade. Now I'm stuck using my old laptop til I dont know when.
I ordered some cable sleeves from MDPC so I guess that will be my project while I wait. I'll sleeve one cable every day until Intel gets the new boards ready

So I was looking around on newegg when I notice on of my wishlists went "missing". The Sandy Bridge setup in it was gone. So I went looking and can't find any Sandy Bridge CPU's on newegg's website. I get taking the mobo's off but why the CPUs? They're not defective.

Anyone confirm this?

The CPU's aren't defective, the motherboard you already have is. No reason you can't still get a CPU, and use it until the new boards are out and then exchange it.

Yes, Newegg and some other retailers have stopped selling CPU's as well. You can still find some places selling them if you have the option of shopping elsewhere.

Maybe sandy bridge cpu also has some sort problem too but intel isn't saying anything right now about it beside blaming it on there mother board intel chip set.

Who knows what's going on and since it took them about month to figure out this issue, I CAN'T REALLY TRUST INTEL ANYMORE

here is what i would do

put the SSD and the 1tb on the WHITE sata ports

and the raptor and the bluray on the dark blue ports
i was told to do that

Such is life, there will alway's be minor bumps in the road along the way, its new tech!
Besides, its how a company deals with the problem that sets them apart from the rest.

You have to take the rough with the smooth jumpng on the next big thing.....

I cant find SB motherboards anywhere. :/ I need a new PC as this LGA 775 is a dead end for getting a new graphics card. My 8800GT gave up the ghost a month ago. Keep looking and waiting? Or just get X58 and a i7 950?
