Yet another Rate my Build Thread (1st timer)

Thread Starter
Like the title says this is my first WC Build. I have been attempting to do research for about a week now and think I have compiled a good list of components. Case is a NZXT Phantom. Loop is only CPU (2600-K) for now but will probably incorporate a GPU in the future, after upgrade (the reason for the triple rad).

Specific questions are:

1) Where would you put the kill coil?
2) Is the Pump in the X20 good enough to support a longer loop that would include a GPU in the future
3) Is my tubing & barbs correct? I read if using 7/16" ID tubing on a 1/2" Barb you do not HAVE to use clamps but it is suggested.
4) I really like this Reservoir but don't know what pump to go along with it. Here

Yeah 7/16 over 1/2 barbs is very nice You could always go with compression fittings if you want to be very secure ( plus they look good )

Killcoil in the reservoir i guess

The rad is nice.. Also the tubbing is the best ( for me ) doesnt kink

What are you going to cool with all the parts

You could save a lot of money by getting this all on Jab-Tech.com, and starting with the XSPC RX360 kit as your base. It comes with the same pump, radiator and fittings, and a different CPU block (XSPC Rasa performance wise it's the same as the EK Supreme HF). Then add in the primoflex tubing, some GentleTyphoons and the silver kill coil. Finally use the coupon code "facebook" for 5% off your entire order.

It will come out much, much cheaper than what you had listed above. To answer the questions:

1) Put the kill coil into the reservoir/pump unit.

2) The pump is actually pretty powerful, it could easily handle adding a GPU to the loop.

3) 7/16" ID tubing over 1/2" Barbs is a really tight seal. You definitely won't need clamps.

Just CPU for now. If I put the Kill coil in the reservoir how do you keep it from getting sucked up into one of the lines? is it heavy enough that it just chills in the bottom?

This is the first thing I thought of.

Order a RX360 kit from jab-tech and add a kill coil and the primochill 7/16" tubing to your order.

The rasa cpu block is a great piece for the price and unless your buying your own pump/res for the option to having great flow through GPU blocks, I dont see the point in spending the extra money for the EK block.

You can save yourself like $150 bucks and get the same cooling with the rx360 kit. (do not confuse this with the RS360 kit as the rad is thinner and dissipates less heat.)

If I am planning to incorporate a EK GPU Block in the future is the RX360 kit w/ the Rasa block still the way to go? Also I can't find the kill coil on Jab-Tech.

The EK block would work fine with the Rasa kit, no worries. Also, the kill coil is under a different name:

I forgot to mention this earlier, but another benefit is that the Rasa kit comes with fans! You can either keep them or gut them and to use as shrouds for the Typhoons.
