I can't find any info on that card. It looks to have stock clocks, so what is the HD designation? Better power delivery?

I would rather fork out some extra dollars and buy a better GPU than overclock one to make it better. IMO

I may go foe the 590 if its released and leave it stock for safety .

CPU on the other hand ill OC

People commonly remove the voltage limit because they see that they're gpu temp is only around 60 - 70C.

I don't know why so many gtx 570s are dying, but I don't think it is VRM heat. My current card was stable at 900MHz @ 1.088v and it could handle hours of full load. However, when I tried 910MHz at the same volts, it would shut down my computer immediately after any amount of load. When I raised the voltage I got the same problem.

The heat difference in the VRM between a completely stable 900MHz core and 910MHz core at the same volts would not be enough to shut down my computer after a few seconds of load.

I think there is a limit to a gtx 570's gpu frequencies, where once the limit is hit, the card cannot handle the overload and it wears out extremely quickly without having much heat. This problem was very common for overclockers back in the days when components didn't generate much heat at all. Every graphics card has a limit like this, but the issue has been forgotten because on like 99% of cards this limit is unreachable without it first being destroyed from heat. I think gtx 570s are able to reach that limit for some reason without the heat.

i know, right?lol. People worry too much about 1-2 fps increases and worry about bench scores when they need to just play the friggin game and enjoy it!!!lol.....im no one to talk bcuz im a dude and we aim for massive epeen but i know my limit, like at first i wanted to go 2-way SLI GTX 580s and then i said to myself, "Hey, why spend over $1K+ on video cards when i can get pretty much damn near the same, if not the same, performance as the GX 580s with 2 GTX 570s?lol. Save $300, get 2 570s, OC them a little bit, and whattaya know? You have a GTX 580 clone!lol.
