You can see TPU was doing a review and they killed it rather fast.

Quite sad that companies are cheaping out on components like this, can't believe they didn't get these results when testing before release.

I just bought a 590 , and I definitely cannot believe they didn't get results like this either in development...I live in a corporate world...egad.

Like putting a bomb in a Corvette if someone drives it 85 mph. Sure it's above the speed limit. But you don't get a Corvette and not go there...occasionally...every day lol.

I think this is more like getting an engine blow with a Ferrari.

why doesn't they cover 590's backside VRMs with a backplate and left them exposed
maybe they fry if a metal plate touches them, maybe they becoming conductive or something)

Palit also removed heatsink from 460GTX's VRMs)
strange...

I am using my PNY 570 since December at 1.1V 900/2000. I haven't noticed any issues.
Max temps are usually 75C. Either there was a bad batch out there or Nvidia has gone cheap. I don't know, I am impressed how this one overclocks though.

I'm currently running 2x 460 cyclones in SLI. I didn't see any Twin Frozrs in the fried list...hmm.

Im pretty peeved though that there seems to be a flaw in the card. After reading the thread it seems some people's cards are frying even without disabling the safety feature?

I don't OC heavy, I was hoping to get to 850 core. Should I not even bother with the 570?
Sadly mine died a couple of weeks back (3/9) and it is currently being RMA'ed. Ugghhh, I wasn't concerned about the dead 570's as almost all were OCP disabled or past 1.1v, but what do you know. Here's the story with mine.....

Core Voltage:1.1v
Clocks: 900/2000
OCP/Power limit disabled: Nope
Load Temperature: 66
VRM Cooling: stock
What you were doing: Crysis (So no, it couldn't run it )

Kind of getting impatient here with the RMA, they've been "processing" since the 14th. Anyhow, super disappointing as I had read so much about the Twin Frozr's and it was awesome when it was working.

Now to drown my sorrow

I feel you bro same thing happened to mine. It fried at same voltage as u 1.1v. I am also waiting on a lengthy RMA...

Using an AMD 5450 in the meantime but I'm still owning face in 800x600 resolution call of duty 1999 styles. I should even pull out my CRT eh

this terrible card would be PPPPERFECT for CS but I forgot my password for my ancient steam account.

What other fps games run well on absolutely terrible cards? I'm talking low rez minimum graphics... just need something to kill time till RMA arrives

Wat card are you using in the meantime?
