Have you killed a 570? (No recent deaths, buy some 570s!) - Page 7

Then how did he kill it? I think that's called a defective card if he just put it in his system and it simply died on its own. It should be in warranty if thats the case and he can just send it back unlike the other people here with burnt waterblocks and stuff.

It sounds like you guys are trying to say there is an actual design flaw with the 570 that kills the card when it is used as intended by the manufacturer. If that is actually the case then lets all rage. But I don't think it is from what I have seen.

He's sending his back. It was an EVGA card like mine.

These cards seem to have a power delivery system that is just barely capable. Any peak in power draw might kill them...

So basically I will avoid this card like the plague and tell others to do so.

Pretty much. Asus still hasn't responded, even if they do RMA it, I may just go get a 580...

You should be able to do almost 900 on stock volts. I'd personally keep it around 1.1V max and do not disable any power limiting features.

The goal of this thread is to collect information to pinpoint the issue so no one else experiences this.
the core can be -60 and the vrm area could be 110C i thuoght especially with the fermi cards?
