So enough with petitions and vote for the right party next election time, you know the one you blame for making Canada more like America. It just might save you.
The regulatory body is just a corporate shill. We're already just like America.

I have a 60 GB cap here in Van. It's not terrible because I don't download much and never pass the limit, but 25 GB is absolutely outrageous. What the heck are they thinking? How do they even come up with such a number?

You can check your usage on there site through your comcast account. Im paying $65 a month for 22/5 with Comcast. The people in Canada are getting screwed over without any lube.

Live in Australia, capped Internet is all we have and have had for years. $140 a month for 25gb on next to dial up speed is very common.

They need to make all that extra money when people go over that cap for equipement upgrades Someone like netflix needs to do something cause it will kill their business if 25GB caps become common in Canada.

This is an entirely different story. This decision was only released past week so it is kinda news.

Anyway, I send out letters to my MLA, to my MP, filed complaints with every government agency that cares, emailed all political parties, and emailed around 30 different newspaper editors. I also spammed everyone on FB with these links.

You would thing by now Internet would only get better and better but what good is fast speeds when you cant use the speed? Its like giving you a GTR and limit it to 60mph. I personally hit 150-200 during winter and 350-400 during summer. I dont use TV at all so i download all the TV shows and max quality. Never was proven for technology to go backward but its coming true. Now need to fins some way to capture Internet because i dont got 100$+ to pay for month.

And to think that even the most repressive government in the world do not allow the degree of "deep packet inspection" malarkey that goes on in Canada. No one in Canada ever gets anything even approaching the
advertized" speeds - there is always some lame excuse. Capping is kind of awful, but extreme latency caused by the ISPs "inspecting" each and every scrap of your data is another thing, coupled to the throttling that really, you only get to the low end of "high speed" if you stay up until 3:30am, and live in a neighbourhood where no one else has Internet service.
