I think they would just let them sit in the warehouse. It's still inventory, and the value of those chips hasn't depreciated either. Sending it back and having to reorder in a month or two doesn't make any sense. The mobos are a different story though, but manufacturers would undoubtedly give them a full refund for those.

lol that's really stupid why would they lose money if those cpu sit on newegg warehouse shelf ???

and how come intel said on there page they're stop manufacturing current sandy bridge cpu at this moment? also intel said they will be releasing with B3 stepping end of february 2010?

Damn i just picked up a 2500k and ud3p yesterday from mc. Debating whether to run this until gb does a recall later on or just return the combo.

Return it (if you could) and wait til April.

I would've returned mines to MC had Intel not announced this 2 days after my system was built up.

If everything is still in the box, return it and re-buy in March. You have a decent system and can afford to wait.
