I haven't tested to see how accurate CPUz and Hwmonitor are for the CPU vcore, but for my 580 Hwmonitor was plenty accurate for me when testing side by side with a multimeter. Don't remember exactly but remember saying it was close enough for me.

HWmonitor says 1.46v and I have it set in the bios as 1.48v. Would it be safe to assume before stress testing that I could lower it to 1.46v to hit the same 5ghz?

No, why would you assume that? The difference between the target vcore and actual that you're seeing is due to vdroop and your LLC setting not a misread of HWmonitor. The problem is that you are thinking that software voltage measurement (both in BIOS and HWmonitor) is both precise and accurate but really it's only precise and not accurate.

EDIT: Switched accurate and precise because I had it backwards. That's embarrassing. frown.gif

doh.gif still learning.... I was spoiled by the auto-overclocking features on my R.O.G. board and now I'm trying to learn the manual way.

Did you get it back to stable again? Today is Feb 1st and we are going to take 1st place this month!!!!!!!!

Btw Joe, I'm slowly catching up to you on the OCN team stats thumb.gif
Is there a way to see what my current voltage is while folding on my cpu?

Hah, you're lucky my rig has been having issues. Now that it's back to normal I'll start jumping way ahead tongue.gif

I like both if you want to see voltage to the CPU. I also have my folding rig plugged into one of these . That way I have an accurate reading on just how much this rig is costing me in power hahah

Hey, does anyone know some quiet, but effective fans I could use on CPU coolers, I'm tired of my rigs sounding like jet engines. I figured you guys should have some input since like half of you are watercooled anyways and a good rad fan makes a good CPU cooler fan.

I have 13 fans on my folding rig and the quietest are the 6 Yate Loon 120mm's I have in a push pull configuration on my radiator.

I doubt you'll jump ahead since you're averaging 37.5K ppd and I'm avg. 49.4k ppd.... tongue.gif

currently folding:
2600K @ 5.0ghz,VM Linux on 7 cores = 27K ppd 24/7
2500K @ 4.8ghz, Vm Linux on 4 cores = 23K ppd 24/7
Asus 5970 w/1 gpu @ 1000/1100, V7 client = 9.9K ppd 24/7
Asus 550ti @ 1015/2030/2104, GPU tracker = 5-10K ppd 2-3 hours a day
