I need teh epeen...

Seem to have stabilized it, though. Just reduced VCORE in BIOS, and now it's at marginally acceptable levels. Not going to leave it like this tonight... I'll just do more tweaking tomorrow. Stupid LLC taking my VCORE to 1.5V and drastically increasing temps...

I'm still a newbie when it comes to OCing but I believe the NB plays a significant role in OCing.

I dropped mine from 4.0 to 3.8 and the difference was roughly 1k PPD. It would probably be slightly more significant on a 6 core though.

Things people do for a big epeen....

Yeah, I have to agree, my e-peen makes me push my CPU at least above 4.8Ghz on air

Hehe... I have voltage down to a more safe-ish level, and temps are bad at the socket but fine at the chip. My NB's running at 2574 atm, and I think I'll just be keeping it that way until May when I can finish sleeving my PSU, among other small changes. No idea how my NB's doing, but I hope that little guy's ok. I've decided to start saving for a decent water cooling setup for my CPU, but it's gonna take a while.

Having a mess of oil in your room - priceless

I would love to do that if I had enough money to wasteon another rig like mine and have 1 on air and 1 on oil.

But I am definitely not putting my only gaming rig under oil

Plus, I do move a lot my PC, I often take it to my friend's house for "LAN" gaming, and I also go to many big Lan Parties around the year, so oil is not for me

I rather have a WC Loop

Yeah moving it isn't really an option, hence the man-cave
