That would be good. I'm new to VM's.

It works whether the VM is on the local machine or on a different machine. I'm using mine on my local machine with this guide, but it will work when the VM isn't local. All you need is the IP from the VM. To find the IP go to the network notifications, right click for properties.

I know the IP address of it... I just didn't bother with using "local" in the HFM. So I'll try that tonight and pm you if it doesn't work out for me.

No problem. It took me a while 5 minutes to do it. Saw a PM from Carlos, thought I'd try it, wam bam done.

Make sure to do these
  • Share FAH folder
  • Remove brackets from path
  • Use the correct IP

And please hit me up if you have an issue.

I've heard those aren't very strong and may have flow rate problems. I'm not completely sure however so take my word with a grain. If however there are no problems, I'd say throw that baby in there!!!
I have two kits, so it'd be two pumps, two rads, two reservoirs.

Probably not worth it, just a thought though biggrin.gif

Do you guys check your temps remotely? I just did a quick fold last night before going to bed and the cpu went to 48 degrees. That's only about 5 minutes worth. Turned it off and went to bed. But that's at night when it's cooler.

For 10 days though... I'd like to check in on it once in a while. I am thinking of doing VNC or remote desktop... but I'm not sure I can set that up from work though.

I've never got a temp monitoring program to work correctly in Linux. So the short answer is no.

I do have a dual boot setup to bench test for stability in Windows which obviously allows me to check temps smile.gif (and I would use logmein to remote and check on that as well).

How's my TPF doing? Up to par? I tried CAS9 which gave no improvement at the cost of voltage.

Dark Predators aren't quitters, like the other teams! tongue.gif

The reason you have to fold this month is so you'll be able to beat any team. tongue.gif

I for one does not fold on my TC passkey at the moment (still folding though), some do spring cleaning/tweaking this month. If you are happy with your rig, there's no reason to stop folding. thumb.gif

I'm no expert but I think things look good considering your running a VM.

Thanks! I'm pretty impressed considering it is a VM. Eventually I will go full native.
