I'm back to folding at 1030/1250. Turns out that I turned the voltage down a bit while I wasn't folding. I'm back to doing ~8200 PPD again.

Are reference or non-reference models better overclockers in the AMD cards? I can't remember...

It all depends on the actual card. Some non-reference cards are designed to cut costs, and hence are worse than reference parts wise, and some are designed to outperform the reference design and hence are better than reference parts wise.

I generally prefer reference, just to guarantee that it will be easily supported in tweaking utilities. A lot of non-reference cards require that you use the manufacturer's specific tool to make adjustments, if adjustments can even be made.

Unit gets in sooner with faster upload time. And onwards towards the next w.u. and so forth and so on and so forth and so on. I believe after sometime, the difference is always worth it, no matter how small.
