I'm assuming you got this working? read above response as to why I can't check mad.gif The "5" was for testing purposes, it's normally at "15".
The OP has been updated, only thing left is to add 4thkor to the live stats page. thumb.gif

I have no idea how to do any of this. redface.gif

About the frequency of uploading to the site. I think it was at 15 as a matter of data usage. If you want it at 15, no big deal, if you want it less, also no big deal.

Just wanted to double check. I assume most hosting sites have a data limit.

Even with dirt cheap hosting, the data limit is probably at least tens of millions of times the amount of data HFM will be uploading, even if you set it to 1 minute intervals. wink.gif

DeadlyServers' basic plan (which is the one I think Donkey got) includes 25GB of bandwidth. I saw usage of ~80% max, with ~70% being average, but that's including a fair amount of my personal usage as I was using it for school stuff. Based on logs, I had estimated ~60% total bandwidth being used by HFM stats, which means if everyone sets HFM to 1 minute refresh, you WILL run out of bandwidth. I'd say 10 min is fine, but keep in mind bandwidth usage will go up exponentially as you increase refresh rate. Also, bandwidth usage includes people loading the site through a browser, so that'll add a bit of usage over time.

If you want to do the math, I found each person's upload constitutes approximately 1MB every refresh. With a 15 min refresh, here's the math:
1 MB/ refresh * 4 refresh/hour * 24 hours/day * 30 days/month = 2,880 MB per month per person
With a 10 min refresh:
1 MB/refresh * 6 refresh/hour * 24 hours/day * 30 days/month = 4,320 MB per month per person
Note: the 1MB includes incidental communication, NOT just the actual size of data you see in the files. Every little thing is logged, and actually the "Test Connection" thing in HFM adds a surprisingly large amount of data usage (almost 1KB! What the hell is HFM sending!?)

Obviously, these are estimates (and a little on the high side), but there's a reason why I asked for 15 minute refresh. Also, I found that increasing the number of clients (and, hence, the amount of log data) adds a LOT of data usage.

Basically, it all adds up. Donkey, I think it would be best if the two of us check up on data usage regularly to make sure everything's running alright.

PS: You can save a LOT on data if you don't send logs. I noticed some of them (possibly only V7 logs, though I'm not sure on this) can end up being over 2MB, and HFM will send them every refresh.

PPS: I used a lot of bandwidth getting everything set up, so usage will look a little high this month.

PPPS: I love you guys smile.gif

PPPPS: I keep forgetting to add things! Do NOT repeatedly connect to the same FTP account from different IP addresses. DS has automatic safeties in place to prevent hacking and such, so they will ban IPs like crazy if they find multiple people using one FTP account.

And here I was thinking it was just a few kb per update, I totally forgot it uploads the log files for each client every update.
I looked at my site's statistics, and it was over 500 Meg, just in FTP transfers last month.

I'm going to disable the full log file upload to see how much it saves.

Something kinda creepy, the most common visitor to my web site is from an IP address in Bogota Columbia...thinking.gif

mine still wont show on the live stats page , and the test connection thing always fails !

Also, quick question , my 3570K is soon on its way and I was wondering if it is worth delidding it , and how safe it is to do so.. apparently the TIM they use on IB CPUs is junk and a quick delid and some MX2 can make the difference between 3.5 and 3.8 .. opinions !!

3.8 wouldn't be much of a stretch, you could maybe do it on stock voltage even. tongue.gif

If it's worth de-lidding is something you have to decide for yourself, there are some great result of people doing it but you may not need it, it's when you have to jack up the voltage that the temps really start climbing. I run a 3570K@4.8@1.315V cooled by a D14, fans@7V, and folding it barely touches 65C on the hottest core, Linpack w/ AVX gets it up to ~80C with the fans running at 1000-1200RPM. I was at 4.7@1.27V for a long time and usually stayed under 60C (ambient were a bit hotter too).

About the easiness, of they guides and vids I've seen it looks to be very simple if you take it carefully as you are using a razor blade and you might scratch the PCB. There is always the chance you end up with an expensive key ring...

I configured my TC Stats and all was well until I started a 8073 WU. My PPD's aren't showing. I have replaced the "Projects.info" file with the one to make the 8057's show up, but it ain't working. Is anybody else having this same issue?
