Waking up to computer turned off likely due to OC

Thread Starter
Hey so I'm running an i5-2500k which is working great at 4.6 GHz. Only problem is that when I wake up, quite often my computer is turned off and I'm guessing it has to do with the OC. I've put it through stress tests including IntelBurnTest for 20 times in a row and it seems stable enough, but I'll wake up and the computer will be completely off.

I tried all the obvious power saving options, etc and the computer so far hasn't locked up on me when I'm near it but for some reason it's always off overnight. I'm running at 4.6 GHz as mentioned before, my idle temperatures are about 26-28 degrees and my voltage is set to a .60 variance. I've tried setting it manually to 1.325 as well but it seems to yield the same results.

Any ideas?

When does it shut off? Idle or load? Maybe do a "stress test" by letting it idle overnight. You never know.

have you done any perfomance tests on it like prime95 or something? also, just in case, check in your bios that you don't have a scheduled shut down lol. not sure if all motherboards have that but mine does.

I don't know if IBT is accurate or not. I passed 25 run high memory setting, but had bsod and failed P95, too. I don't know which software to use, so I decide not to use any. I increase vcore by .005 or .01 when I get bsod/0x0124 error during games. Now I'm running 4.5ghz on 1.305 bios vcore 24/7, no bsod yet. I think set the vcore to manual is the Asus ppl's recommendation
