Hello. I am posting this, because i need help with overclocking my e3300.
My PC:

CPU: Intel(R) Celeron(R) CPU E3300 @ 2.50GHz
GPU: NVIDIA GeForce GTS 250
MB: P5KPL-SE
RAM 2 GB
Power Supply 550-650~.

If you need more info, just ask me.

I don't know how much i can overclock it.. I just want to get a better performance. So i need an advice. Thanks

Well.. i've tried to overclock cpu to +20% but i failed. I can start windows only with +15%. But i've only changed frequency.

What speed is your RAM and how much do you have it overclocked? You usually hit a memory frequency before you do FSB or CPU. Try lowering the memory multiplier if you haven't already.

Me, I just did a BSEL mod on my E3300 (800 -> 1066; 2.50GHz -> 3.33GHz) and called it a day. Granted, that also has to do with how crappy my mobo is (one of those Fry's MB/CPU combos).

You should really read some guides beforehand, otherwise its likely you will screw up. Understanding the FSB:Memory Frequency is essential on the 775 chips. Have you made sure, that you have adequate cooling?

Well.. haven't bought anything. Is it necessary to buy all that monstro's cooling?

So I assume its a prebuilt PC. Download Prime 95 and Realtemp and run a torture test with Prime while monitoring your temperatures with Realtemp. If you dont have sufficient cooling, your temperatures should skyrocket. Run the test for about 20 minutes for a rough result but stop it if it gets close to 70°C, as there will be no overclocking headroom with those temps.

Oh, ouch... Is that DDR2 667? Unless you can lower your memory multipliers some more (unlikely), I think that 15% overclock might be your limit. If you want a higher overclock, I think your best bet might be to do a BSEL mod like I did.
