An problem with this daisy chaining this?

Thread Starter
I have a gigabit switch I am using, that has one two few ports on it. So I was wondering if I would run in to any problems daisy chaining a 10/100 switch to it. I would have only not bandwidth critical devices hooked to the 10/100.

Here is a visualization of what my network would be after that.

That should work, yes

As long as you don't have any switching loops, you should be good.
(ie, if you accidentally ran another cable from the 10/100 back to the router, would create a broadcast storm and you'd have to reset the devices in order to get your connectivity restored).

Just keep in mind the PS3 and PC at the end of the chain only share a 100 mbit uplink between them. Not a problem if you're just using WAN (internet), but if you were doing simultaneous LAN transfers, you'd take a performance hit to 5-6 MB/sec. Stated scenario is quite unlikely, tbh.

'Daisy Chaining' switches is common in enterprise deployments, so there's nothing ghetto rigged about it.
