Just to let you know, if you have been a XBL member since 2007 or 2008 and if you call Xbox support and try to turn off automatic renewal or change payment options, they will scramble to keep you a customer and they will offer you discounts if your an old member. $11.99 for 3 Month gold, and $39.99 12 Month subscriptions

I try and not scam companies out of money for the services that they provide.

Shame on me then. I've been a member since '06 and well, I've paid for Live for both my wife and I. It's went from $29.99 to $39.99, now $59.99. I've avoided the $59.95 this year by opting for the renewal last year at the locked in price....so, I've just done as the OP suggested and told them exactly the reason for my renewal cancellation (which is, I don't agree with the $59.99 no matter how minute you try to make it seem by stating it's just $5.00 a month) and viola, another year at $39.99.

Imho, I think every xbox user should do this. But not without stating the disagreement of the price increase. So that way, the higher ups get the message.

If this was for a great developer like Bioware and Rockstar ect, I would pay in full.
