I'd say they're probably the same thing on the inside. Both being value RAM I'd probably get the cheapest one.
AMD, I give up.

Ripjaws vs Ripjaws X really depends on the kit/pricing/timings you want to get, first of all.

Bump for this thread...

Wanted to ask if the Ripjaws X series is just for the H67/P67 platform (which I think is BS!) or would it work with any motherboard that has support for its speed. Like if the kit was 1600Mhz, and the motherboard supported 1333-2133 speeds.

To be precise... Would this kit work with this motherboard?

So to answer everyones (including mine) question, ripjaws = ripjaws X. The only difference is the cooler looks, well cooler, but not necessarily better, its all about marketing get whatever one matches your mobo/budget theyre all the same

I believe the one's marketed for Intel boards just run at a lower voltage because Intel mobo's need low voltage like 1.5v and below

Ripjaws X are basically Ripjaws with an "X" on them

Perhaps slightly better binning and performance-price, but eh, the original Ripjaws also have good binning and performance-price anyway

Though I'd take Ripjaws X over Ripjaws for same price, if the original Ripjaws cost less I would take the Ripjaws
