Internet connection only shows 54mbps

All,

I am having an issue with my wireless connection. I recently upgraded from vista 64bit to windows 7 64bit. In my wireless connections properties in vista it showed me being connected at 130mbps. Now when I upgraded I am only showing 54mbps. I have a Linksys WUSB600N Dual-Band Wireless-N USB Network Adapter and a WRT160N linksys router. The connection is fine but I was wondering why it doesnt display the 130mbps anymore?

Turn off G connectivity on the router and it should boost up to 130mbps

You sure you reconnected to the right network? 54mbps is top speed for a G network. So i'd say you're either attached to the wrong network, or your router is running in G-only mode for some reason.

Do you transfer at N speeds?

Try opening a share on one system and dropping a large video file into the share (from another system on the network) using the wireless. If you are operating at 54Mb/s the transfer should cap out at 5-6MB/s. If you are transferring at 130Mb/s you should cap out at 14-16MB/s depending on overhead.
