5870 crossfire fan issue

Thread Starter
I need help bad. I just installed a second 5870 for crossfire and my card in the second slot seems to be stuck on 100% fan speed. I tried each card on their own and they seem to work fine that way.

It's even at 100% while booting up which I find kind of odd. I have the crossfire bridge and everything plugged in right. Please if anyone can help me figure this out I will be forever greatfull.

Go into CCC overdrive and insure the manual control is not stuck at 100%.

Can you manually adjust the fan speed from within CCC?

I figured it out. My power cable came loose at the power supply. I didn't think it was a power issue since the fan was on all the way. Thanks for you help though. Glad somebody cared enough to try and help.

Usually the card emits an ear piercing squeal if the power isn't connected.
Glad you got it sorted.
