So after hearing about the **possible** degradation on the SATA 3gb/s ports of the P67/H67 motherboards, do You plan on sending it back with the expected recall ?

** 5% of the boards are supposedly going to degrade within 3 years **

Should've made a poll! I'm on the fence. If I had a GD65 with 4 SATA6 ports I probably wouldn't bother... but since I don't... probably.
ONLY if Microcenter offers an extended exchange or something ( for when the "fixed" boards come in )
If they wont help.. Ill just rock the two Sata 3 ports, and add a sata card if I ever need more ports...
No, but I have a few other issues that might need a return/rma. But no, this whole chipset issue is not an issue since I can use the 0 & 1 Sata slots

I did make a poll, for some reason I had to make it after my original thread..

No. I ordered mine yesterday afternoon and I plan on keeping it for as long as I want. I'm only going to be using 1 DVD drive and one HDD at the moment, so it's seriously no problem. Later on I will add another HDD for Fraps (not important) and that's it. Possible SSD in the future. Still with all of those, it wouldn't be a big deal. Wouldn't have to put anything in the SATAII at all. No reason to worry myself

Not until I'm ready to sell the board.

I have 4 available ports that have no chance of issues and that is more than sufficient.

Yeah I was thinking; if I intend to sell the board sometime this year having that issue cleared up would certainly help. '' Wts P8P67 PRO Rev.2 '' or something like that.

But a month or so of downtime will suck.

I think I will. No rush though, and I believe I read that it might take until March to have the revised boards in stock.

Partly because I'm scared I damaged my CPU on installation and have been looking for an excuse to open it up and check for bent pins, and partially because I'm not very confident on updating the BIOS. Would the BIOS be updated in the recall process, or no?
