The 570 is the 580's little brother, a little brother im gunna overclock and make match the 580, plus, im getting 2 570s ive decided...Dont get me wrong, love ATI, but Nvidia is a better, all around route to go, its almost like gaming and computers are geared towards nvidia, everey single computer you see sold in bestbuy, compusa, etc....all run off of nvidia chipsets, you go on newegg and look at nvidia cards and there's 6 extra pages over ATI......going with the 570s and theyre gunna be awesome, its superior to the 6970, 'nuff said...
Most of the time those were tested with the 10.12a hotfix driver.

You should read more. For true high-resolution gaming, or multiple screen set-ups, 6970 Crossfire is on par, and often AHEAD of 580 SLI.

The ''high-end'' GPU for high-end gaming is the 6970, not the 580. 570?

But if we are talking about middle-of-the-line gaming rig with middle-of-the-line resolution, then yes 570 is a better choice.

But for REAL gaming at high-res and/or multiple screen, the high-end set-up is 6970 Crossfire with 2 GB of video RAM. Better then 580 SLI.

How about SLI of these.

I bet these in SLI would trounce your little 6970s in multiple monitor insane resolution setups. Not to mention run many times quieter than the harsh AMD fan noise.

Now what's the "high-end" GPU?

Don't call me a fanboi either. Cause I had a 6870 and could not stand the sound that fan made at only 50%. My 570 is quiet up until 65%. And after that it's only airflow that makes the noise.

they had to make special 580s to compete with normal 6970s lol

yes you can say that since it came out after the 6970's and then when then 6990 comes out and rapes everything untill the 595 or whatever they are going to call it theres always going to be something better but the way you stated your sentence kinda made you sound like a fanboi :$

the 6970 seems so incomplete, AMD couldve done so much more, its only a LITTLE better than the 5870, and its supposed to be a replacement? Im happy with the 570s in SLI, they devour anything i put infront of it and laugh at it, the 6970s only, and i mean ONLY advantage is that its great for resolutions 2560x1600 and above, in the 1920x1080 area the GTX 570 seeks and destroys, dont say its better than the 570, if anything the 6970 is equal at best. The 6970 had alot more potential than what AMD packed under the hood.

I'm more or less a fan of who can make the best video card that doesn't sound like a jet engine when it spools up.

And right now that's Nvidia.

I've had a 6870 and I'm glad I changed to the green team.

U got to remember nvidia have been in the game longer than amd have been producing cards .. 69XX have come a fair way with the new driver improvements .. I could go on and say what i have to say about nvidia too but all im going to say is a gtx570 and a 6970 are both equal in performance no matter how great u think ur card is compared to a 6970 but at the end of the day u dont own a 6970 or benched one on ur own machine in comparison to ur 570 so why dont u talk then ? .. 580 is a different story but then again the 6990 will beee a wholle other story too
