I got a gtx 570 for 20 USD above the 560 SOC card from Gigabyte.

With more memory and such i think it was worth it. By the time i need another card for SLI the prices will be down to the same as a 560 is atm.

This is an oddball question . Put it this way: The 570 is close to the 580 just as the 560 is close to the 570. But at stock speeds and assuming similar overclocked settings, 580 > 570 just as 570 > 560.

To the OP, first impressions are based on Crysis since I play it a lot. I play one area a lot so I can give a non-official game bench.

560SLI= perfect. What can I say. V-sync and smoother that 1 GTX580. IMO

GTX570 83C at 60% fan, 36fps
GTX560 75C AT 46% fan, 33fps
GTX580 50FPS, did not record temp but it's about the same as the 570 for some reason.

I dont want to argue with nvidia people but I was not too happy about temps with the 570. I know 83c on it's own is good but it does not reflect how hot it made everything. I mean look at bench reviews and the power draw, about 200w vs 300w, the heat goes somewhere. Everything just became warm/hot compared to what I was used to with ATI.

Edit, I want to add that the 560 as a single card was not a smooth at Crysis as the FPS indicate until I turned down settings, compared to the 570. The above settings were all with high and 4xAA. Nothing was OC'ed. When I changed the settings from high to med the 560 would hold v-sync no problem just like the 580 on high.

The 570 would max Warhead but not the OG Crysis. I will test that but I know my bench is very subjective.

I have to give the 560's more time but they seem to be doing what I wanted. I tried the 6870CF but they failed big time. I like ATI cards also coming from a 5870/5850cf combo that worked perfectly.
