New raid controller, but cant find drivers

Thread Starter
i got a new pci-express raid controler card, but i have a problem getting the driver to work. according to the instruction i can get the from siliconimage.com
its the SiI 3124 driver. yet when i search for the driver in the device manager, and go to the folder where its at under IA64 it does not find any. theres 2 folders the IA64 and AMD64. i assume the amd 64 is for amd based systems, and the IA64 for intel. yet under the amd folder it finds the driver. im somewhat confused about this. any help?

Look here for the 64-bit Windows 7 version. If that doesn't work, try the AMD64 version.

thats where i went to download the newest drivers.
when i try the IA folder and select the driver it says it could not find a driver.
when i try the AMD64 folder i get to where i can install the driver, but then it says that windows found an error while installing the driver.
i might just return it where i got it, and see if i can get another different brand.
thanks for the help.

You can force install them to work. And the amd64 drivers will work just fine on it also.

Hit browse for driver and then pick it. It should ask you are you sure you want to use these drivers, click yes{okay} and it should in stall them.
