Call of Duty 4 Modern Warfare
Release date price $49.99 2007
Current price $29.99 2011

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2
Release date price $59.99 2009
Current price $59.99 2011

Call of Duty Black Ops
Release date price $59.99 2010
Current price $59.99

Going from this trend there is no thinking. Activision/Blizzard/IW started this trend. I will never pay more than $49.99 for a PC game unless it was some kind of LE or had some kind of extra. They are charging us the same price as console gamers but they don't have to license anything. Basically free $10 for them.

I quit COD series after COD4 Modern Warfare. They removed dedicated servers and replaced it with user P2P hosting. The speed for regular people's internet is crap so people will have problems playing with lag. People modify server files so it automatically levels you up to 70 or whatever the cap is. IW/Activision/Blizzard has been going down hill with the COD series. They only cater to console players because that's where they make most of their $$$$$ so they don't care about PC players and keep shoving a new COD game every year to sell to console kiddies. Same game, same engine, just re-hashed with a new theme.

whats messed up about this is it definitely cost them less to make MW2 and BO, having already made the core game engine. They just charge more because they know they can.

One sided poll is one sided.

Activision cares about making money. That means, if something isn't making money they cut it off. Is it a "nice" thing to do? No not really, but they do their job at making money.

Activision is a perfect example of a company that just wants to make money and has no concerns about pleasing anyone (except their invertors)

Crytek and Id are examples of the opposite.
And what is the outcome? Activision is striving with COD setting sales records,
and ID and Crytek almost went into bankrupcy.

I don't know why everyone gets so upset, just don't buy them and they will become cheaper. They will only sell them for what you are willing to pay. I have come to the age where I no longer care about getting a game the day it comes out or even the year it comes out. I don't own any activision games and this is probably why.
Here in Canada we have already seen $70 games and our dollar has been near or on par for years now.
I bought BFBC2 and Vietnam for $12 total and that is the game I'm playing the most right now.

I regret paying $59 for Starcraft 2 what a PoS game, it's basically a re - make of SC1 but with crappy outdated graphics taken from WC3 engine. The gameplay was also very repetative.

Been higher for a while now actually, or at least even with USD :

1.00 CAD = 1.00766 USD

Is what its at right now. Good thing I buy most of my stuff online anyway.

$1 AUD is worth $1.01257 USD currently. Activision charges $90 for black ops and mw2, and $60 for COD4 on steam.

It's disgusting.

Your view of crysis is also disgusting.

Yeah, they got me in 07'. I was waiting to buy MW2 when it got below 30$. Looks like I'm just not buying the game, let alone BO.
We all need to grit our teeth and not buy into the COD series to show Activision who their maker is.

Agreed! Screw Activision, when they start making their so called "triple A" titles into a actual good game, i will say differently.
