30" Apple Cinema Display is still worth to get it?

With the whole Sandy Bridge recall, I'm gonna get back my refund and do what I always want to do: getting a 2nd 30". I've been looking at several but narrow down my choice to either Dell or Apple simply because I own mostly Dell monitors and Apple look...nice to me.
I know there are other good monitors out there like the Samsung, HP, LG but since I haven't seen them with my own eyes it's kinda hard for me to make my decision (I'm open to inputs)
Anyway back to the topic, I've seen several 30" Apple Cinema that sell for about $800-$1000 still in good condition. Is it still a good choice to get since Apple only makes 1 30" model up until now and it's kinda...dated?
I already have the 3007WFP-HC for gaming so I'm just looking for one for daily use, basic use, would be nice to do some gaming but not a requirement.
I also look at the Dell U3011 but the price is still a bit high, and even though I'm currently using the U2410 but I'm not really a fan of the AG coating of this model. But well if they have the refurbished model for $899 again then I'll probably bite on it.
So what do you guys think? Any recommendations/suggestions?

I'd just get a U3011.

Make sure its the same resolution, Hz and response time (ms) or you will have a bad performance drop with 2 different monitors

I'll probably wait for a price drop, it's way over my budget now.

Probably won't have the same response time since I'm gonna get a different monitor but I don't think it will affect that much to performance overall, pls correct me if I'm wrong.

Man those prices are a ripoff. My girlfriend wanted to get a 30 inch apple display for $1600

I took 5 minutes and worked out I could get her another graphics card monitor stands and 6 x 24 inch LED displays for $3 less than the apple display. I know what i would choose.

If you do any CAD work this would be unacceptable. Then again, he said he is going to just be using it for "basic viewing purposes" what ever that means... Why not just get 2 more 3007wfp-hc or 2 more u2410's? Makes no sence to me to have 3 different kinds of monitors all hooked up to the same rig running a single gpu.

I'm not a fan of the bezel so 6x24" won't cut it for me, plus I prefer another 30" and looking for inputs on that. I just rephrase my purpose is for basic use to make it clear.
Another 3007WFP-HC would be nice but I'm open to other choices as well and that's why I created this thread to get suggestions. In the long run if I get a 3rd 30" then it gotto be the same model with either one of my current but for now I wouldn't care that much about getting the same exact model.
