Just received my Razer Deathadder Black Edition - Page 5

post #41 of 57
I want a black edition. This just makes me want it more. If I don't like the shape, I'll get a Kinzu and Black Kinzuadder it. If I don't like the kinzu, I'll black naosadder it. And if I don't like the naos...well, I probably won't go that far.

In another topic about the Deathadder Black Edition I found the user reviews I back on line here

tombom says :

I have the regular deathadder 3G and I can say I've never had any problem like that ever with that.
As far as g500 vs. DA, I'd get the deathadder. Statistics say it's better and so do a lot of people on this forum apparently

Skylit says :

My BE has worked fine since it was released. The only real problem is the high lift off.

Vikhr says :

I have never had that problem with my DA BE. The only issue I have run into was the high LOD and that was easily corrected with some Scotch Magic Tape.

I wasn't aware of problems with any of the DeathAdders tbh. I'm using the normal 3.5g version with no issues. I'll be picking up a Black Edition here in the next couple days, so I'll see if it has any firmware issues soon enough.

@HWI
Yes it will ! It is imperative that you test the Black Edition on the surface of black/white hardpad and clothpad to see if if the DA BE has a different tracking compared to the DA Refresh and if it has other problems tracking. thumb.gif

I think the tracking is not as good as the Refresh because its firmware is different and very new and more

I await your advice with great anticipation ! rolleyes.gif

I dislike hard pads, I only use cloth, so I won't be able to test it on a hard pad. From what I understand the reason it has different firmware is because it lacks a light, which is controlled via firmware on the normal DeathAdder. Afaik, it has the same sensor, so it should track just as good.

No matter if you did not hardpad in this case trying to test them on a hard surface like your desk for example, after you test it on a blank sheet of paper resting on your desk or on top of a book that has a hard cover.

I would also like you to tell me if the ergonomics of which two versions you like best because I just saw a video of a Japanese tester on youtube and the comments he says he prefers the handling of the Deathadder Refresh to the DA BE !

[ame="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxWUCyQgUTE"]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GxWUCyQgUTE[/ame]

Hiyaa and even interact with the uploader of the video I quote their dialogue :
Quote:
so is it worth it over the normal version? is the coating on the side more grip ?
haiiyaa il y a 6 mois

@haiiyaa They both have a point. However, i like normal.
alamtaric il y a 6 mois

@alamtaric What makes you like the normal one more? the looks?
haiiyaa il y a 6 mois

@haiiyaa It is felt that more grip.

BE is only better-looking
alamtaric il y a 6 mois

For the firmware you must be right because it must surely be different because of the light that is more about the BE, however, I fear that the tracker of the BE is not as good because I think that the firmware does BE not correct every problem as tracking the Refresh.

Remember that the firmware of the BE is very recent and can be corrected and do not all the tracking problem as then the beginning of the DA refresh!

Therefore gives you the BE and compare its tracking and ergonomics with Refresh, thank you!

@HWI
To do when you receive your Deathadder BE to compare it with the Refresh ? confused.gif

Because it's very hard for me to wait and I'm too impatient to buy one of them ! tongue.gifyessir.gif

I like the flat black sides much more than the glossy, probably doesn't acquire skin cells all over it like the glossy does too -.-
