It sucked before that but nobody seemed to care. I couldn't stand playing that game but I have a few friends who played it religiously but now they all seemed to have quit.

I guess they still make tons of money selling hats to people who care about pixels over their head.

BFBC2, Killing Floor, and even though this isn't an FPS...Monday Night Combat I'm really enjoying.

Although your nanny-state government has censored all the gore, I say Left 4 Dead 2. Can't even tell you how much fun I have had with this game.

Tons of replay value. Very efficiently coded (don't need a NASA computer to max it out), looks fantastic and hands down the most satisfying headshots in FPS to date.

Plus its not uber-super competitive fragfests like BFBC2 (dude, you'll die like 100 times before you get a kill on most squad deathmatch maps when you're new).

Get used to the message:

(some level 30+ dude) -> AN-94 or M16A2 -> your smoldering ass.

You're gonna get it a LOT.

PS: BFBC2 is a GREAT game. I'm not knocking it. Just be prepared for noobie stress when playing multiplayer. Makes the CS:Source learning curve look like a prairie by comparison.

The Australian Left for Dead 2 community is practically dead, it's not worth buying.
